The 2019 Annual IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (IEEE PIMRC 2019) will mark the 30th anniversary of this symposium, which has become one of the two major conferences of the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) in the field of wireless communications and networking. PIMRC was founded in 1989 as a workshop in London and developed over the years to become a major international conference attracting the technical community from all regions and continents. IEEE PIMRC 2019 welcomes contributions reporting original research results in all areas of wireless technology as well as in applications, services, and business.
IEEE PIMRC 2019 will be held on 8-11 September 2019 at the Istanbul Congress Center (ICC) in the heart of Istanbul, Turkey. In addition to the technical sessions, the conference program will include world-class keynotes, business sessions and panels, as well as workshops and tutorials by renowned experts. There will be also an exciting social program including the Welcome Reception on Sunday 8 September evening and a Gala Dinner on Tuesday 10 September evening.
Istanbul is a very unique city in terms of geography, history, and culture: It bridges Europe and Asia, as well as East and West. It was the capital of three successive empires – Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman, and it still carries their fabulous legacy, while heading towards a modern future. It is in this exceptional environment that IEEE PIMRC will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
